Welcome to
Dianne Harris Show Team

Specializing in the retraining and re homing of Off The Track Thoroughbreds

At Dianne Harris Show Team, we produce and re home thoroughbred horses, ensuring they have a quality life after racing. Although not every horse that passes through our stables will enter the show ring, they are each given the opportunity to show their talent. We often look for horses on behalf of outside parties, so we are always on the look out for quality off the track stock. We also offer other services such as show prep, trimming, clipping and rug repairs.

Welcome to my new website. I will be using this as a platform for people to keep track of my team, as well as a medium for advertising horses for myself and others in my area. If there is anything i can do to help, please contact me.

I haven't been online to update the site in a while, life has gotten busy.

Oscar and Annie are both doing well in their new show homes. I wish them the very best. The decision has been made to retain Valik as he is so similar to Monster who has recently been retired, and he is the perfect size for my rider class. Finn has been sold pending pick up to the same home who has Lady.

Dolly and Rick have both been going really well, i have been taking them for lessons and i am so happy to report that they both take new environments in their strides. Monster found his inner cow pony the other weekend, participating in his first team penning event. He was very brave and enjoyed the outing, and we were very lucky to be in the senior open winning team with the amazing Amelia Greenfield (owner of Ranges Country) and Vanessa Clancy (breaker and trainer in Quorn), also winning high point senior team for the weekend. Proof that Thoroughbreds are truly amazing!!

I will be having some changes in my personal situation shortly as i have decided that my current apprenticeship does not suit my interests or aspirations, so i have opened up spaces in my stables while i undertake further training to secure work in the area. If you are interested in having me campaign or train your horse for the 2017 season, please contact me to discuss further.

I am also thinking of adding a page for wanted adverts so if you are after anything in particular, please flick me a message.

Very happy to say that both Annie and Oscar have found new homes. They will both be heading to Adelaide in the near future, i wish their new owners the best of luck.

A new horse has entered the stables by the name of Valik, and i am smitten! He is just the sweetest boy and will make a super competitive large show hack. I keep finding myself musing ways to keep him myself, but as he will be in the same class as Dolly, my loss is certainly your gain.

I have picked the two horses up from the paddock who are needing homes. They are a part of a deceased estate so homes are the most important thing for these guys. Both are super types, and very good to handle.

Good news is little Annie already has found a home. She will be going to live with some friends of mine in Adelaide once her weight picks up a little. I am excited to see how they go with her.

Oscar is still needing a home. I washed, brushed and trimmed him up last night (which i think he loved!). This morning i had a bit more of a play with him, including taking him across to the bull ring for a run around. Very happy with him type and paces wise, i think he will suit most home. He is available as a giveaway to the best homes only. If he stays in my stables, i will be bringing him back into work and his price will increase. Please contact me if you can offer him a good home.

I have added a couple of horses that are for sale in NSW to the external for sale page. These look like quality horses, so please contact Kate if you are interested in them.

Oscar and Annie will be coming to live in my stables on Thursday. They are both in need of some tlc, so hoping that once i get some better photos of them, i will be able to find them homes.

Thank you again for all who have shown support to this page, im hoping that it will be a worthy platform to find plenty of horses homes.

About Dianne Harris Show Team

Dianne has been showing most of her life with her family. Her first show pony was 'Roseacre Sandstorm' who was a 13hh grey riding pony gelding by 'Gaylord of Ascot'. Together they received numerous placings at Perth Royal Show in 1999 and 2000, before moving to South Australia in 2002.

She then moved onto a galloway by the name of 'Footlight Statement' who was Dianne's first opportunity to educate her own horse. Brosnan competed at Adelaide Royal for numerous years, whilst also competing successfully up to elementary dressage level and jumping up to 1.05m.

In 2006, a thoroughbred with the unfortunate name of 'Woolly' entered the stables, sparking Dianne's love for thoroughbreds. He was promptly renamed Harry (although everyone knows him as Monster), and together they have competed at state and national levels in showing, trained medium/advanced, showjumped 1.10m and evented up to introductory EA. Since then, Dianne has re educated and re homed numerous quality thoroughbreds, along with working with riding pony studs and local racehorse trainers.
